when i was in india.....flipping through the newspaper i came across this headline that caught my eye, the burqa/abaya was going to be banned in france....reading further, it had really created an uproar it seemed but its actually very sad, wearing an abaya or head scarf is something that a muslim woman does on choice...even though in Islam it is incumbent upon her to actually start covering her head and bosom once attaining puberty...but its rather taken as a choice, i want to ask...that when a nun covers her self totally why isnt she questioned and looked down upon...rather she is regarded with respect
a woman in an abaya is respected in the gulf, where as once she steps out of it, she finds stuff like backward, inferior and un-modern thrown on her, but wearing an abaya actually symbolises a feeling of security and power, that even though she can very well not wear an abaya she makes the better choice of covering herself, we live in a world where people talk about freedom of rights and all that bullshit....but muslims all round the world are still looked down upon.
even the sharukh khan case where he was detained at the airport simply because of his name...and he himself has said that when he travels to the US often he is asked to take his clothes off for checking.....if such a world renowned actor is subjected to such treatment, what would the ordinary people be going through in various parts around the world
hey i need your help finding me some great Abayas as well.can you plx help me to find them
